This is the result of the provincial key research project "Digital Manufacturing of Computerized Jacquard Circular Knitting Machines for Knitting Garments" undertaken by Wuhan Institute of Technology. The appraisal committee believes that this technical achievement has reached the international advanced level.

This means that Hubei, a major textile province, will use the self-developed high-end computer jacquard circular knitting machine to further meet the market needs of "multiple varieties, small batches, and fast pace".

The traditional mechanical jacquard machine is more limited in pattern weaving, and it takes several days to modify the relevant parameters to change the pattern. The use of computer jacquard machines often relies on imports in part or as a whole, and the price remains high. Wuhan University of Science and Technology carried out scientific and technological research from the software pattern design system and the hardware control system, and finally mastered the core technology of the computer jacquard control system, which reduced the manufacturing cost by half.

The project also developed CAD system software for knitting weft knitting. Through digital equipment such as cameras, scanners, digital cameras or video cameras, image CDs, etc., fast pattern input, multi-color matching, cloth pattern simulation, etc. can be realized. Pattern design is fast and easy, and can meet individual needs.
